Liverpool’s busy summer continues but their approach has turned to selling some stars before anything else.
The Reds have been praised for their transfer business so far and have brought in some players to seriously strengthen their squad, although they will need to weaken it slightly before the window shuts.
Many big names have been linked with a move away but it is the transfer saga of Luis Diaz that simply will not go away, with no one really sure where he will end up.
Saudi Arabian clubs, Barcelona and Bayern Munich are all interested, with the latter seeming the most likely destination at this point in time, or at least it did.
The German outfit have now created a new plan in their pursuit of Diaz and it suggests this saga could be about to take another twist.

Liverpool’s stance on Diaz remains clear; he is not for sale.
Well, unless they get a suitable price for him, which is expected to be around £72.5m.
Whether Bayern will pay this is yet to be seen but Diaz is said to be keen on the move, although according to German newspaper BILD, the Bundesliga champions might have indicated that they are moving on from trying to sign the Liverpool star.
Their report states that Vincent Kompany’s side are interested in Arsenal’s Leandro Trossard, with the Belgian seen as a Diaz alternative.

The Gunners want to give Trossard a new contract but based on the wingers they have been linked to, he has been hesitant to sign, suggesting he is open to the move.
The 30-year-old has also recently changed agent, another bad sign for Diaz as his move to Bayern is in further jeopardy.

Of course, this does not mean the Colombian will not make the switch to Germany, but it is certainly something that will throw a spanner in the works and cause his saga to drag out far longer than anyone wants.
The Reds’ approach in the past has been pretty clear; if a player wants to leave, then they leave.
But, for some reason, Liverpool are insistent that Diaz is not for sale unless a huge bid comes in for him.
The Colombian has not explicitly expressed his desire to leave in public, but rumours from Germany have suggested he has handed in a transfer request, something that if true, means he will surely be let go.
He has also not shut down rumours over a potential exit and has frustrated Liverpool fans with the way he has conducted himself, suggesting that an Anfield departure might be the best for all parties.
If the Reds do get their asking price of £72.5m for him, they would have more than doubled their money and should take it and run, especially as Diaz can be replaced.
They have the money to dip back into the market, but they equally have plenty of options to choose from within the existing squad, meaning that selling the 28-year-old will not be the end of the world.
