With Van Dijk only likely having two years left on his current deal with Liverpool, the Reds are going to need to find a suitable long-term replacement for him as soon as possible.

The centre-back is just 18 years old and had a breakout season playing for Parma, with his former manager Cristian Chivu hailing him as a “great” player.
