Florian Wirtz is the name that has dominated most of the headlines since the summer transfer window was opened.

At the start, Liverpool, Bayern Munich and Manchester City were all linked with a potential move, but in the end, Wirtz chose the Anfield outfit.

At the moment, it feels like Wirtz’s initial fee will be worth around £100million, with the add-ons being the last area of the deal needing to be negotiated.

Seeing as though the transfer is set to break Liverpool’s club-record fee, money will have to be earned from player sales, with one Liverpool man believing he’ll be the first on the chopping block after Wirtz’s arrival.

The report goes on to say that the Colombia international doesn’t feel ‘appreciated’ by the Merseyside outfit and wants to make the switch.

Mundo Deportivo also add that those close to Diaz believe that Liverpool will ‘facilitate the departure’ of the attacker to ‘compensate’ the fee they’re set to spend on Wirtz.

Even though Liverpool may have a hefty chunk of change to spend in the summer transfer window, when £100million is being spent on a player, some funds will have to be recovered.

And, even though the sale of the aforementioned duo would likely suffice, the fact that Diaz wants out of Liverpool outlines why his sale would make the most sense, even though he was described as an “outstanding” player by Jurgen Klopp.
