Liverpool have their fair share of quality players in the current squad, but they have also had many over the years.
The Reds mean business this summer and next season could be one for the ages as they look to retain their Premier League title.
Everything appears to be going swimmingly at the club, with the only dampener being that Liverpool lost Trent Alexander-Arnold to Real Madrid.
Although they have replaced him well through the arrival of Jeremie Frimpong, Liverpool fans will always have a bitterness towards Madrid, another reason why fans were so disappointed to see their fellow scouser leave.
However, Alexander-Arnold may soon be reunited with a former Liverpool player as the Spanish giants are targeting a surprising move for a Reds fan favourite who is unsettled at his current club.

Liverpool have lacked an out-and-out striker for a few seasons now and, although not a conventional number nine, Roberto Firmino was the last man to hold that position down regularly for the Reds.
Departing Liverpool in 2023, ‘Bobby’ left after eight years to join Saudi Pro League side Al Ahli, with his stay in the kingdom looking like it will be cut short.

After being unsettled at the club and looking for a move, Diario AS have reported that Firmino is on Real Madrid’s list of attacking options this summer.
According to the Spanish newspaper, Madrid are said to be underwhelmed by the current options in this position and want the ‘new Joselu’, referring to a slightly older striker that would come at a much cheaper price.
They also state that Ante Budimir and Willian Jose – two veterans in La Liga – are options as well, although Firmino would be the biggest surprise of them all.
Entering the twilight of his career, Firmino has not done badly at all for Al Ahli and was even named as the AFC Champions League’s MVP after helping his side win the competition.
