Liverpool are set for a huge summer, yet the Reds aren’t the only giant in world football set for a big off-season, with Real Madrid also preparing to spend.
It’s been a season to forget for Los Blancos with the Spanish giants recently losing the Copa del Rey final having been eliminated from the UEFA Champions League by Arsenal, with FC Barcelona on course to win La Liga, as well.
Movement is happening behind the scenes at the Bernabeu, though, with Madrid expected to sign Trent Alexander-Arnold with Ibrahima Konate also a target for the Spanish side, with Liverpool’s best being targeted by the European giants.
And Liverpool have now set an asking price for another player Madrid are believed to be interested in signing heading into the summer.

According to Defensa Central, Liverpool will be open to selling Alexis Mac Allister this summer if Madrid end up making a bid worth €100m (£85m) for the Argentine international, who has been rumoured with a move to the 15-time European champions in recent weeks.
Mac Allister himself has shot down suggestions that he could join Madrid with the 26-year-old midfielder happy at Liverpool, where this season Arne Slot has lauded the South American as ‘outstanding’ due to his consistent form.
With Troy Deeney labelling Mac Allister as a £400m player, the odds of Liverpool entertaining an offer worth £85m for the former Brighton & Hove Albion man from Madrid seem fanciful given how good the midfield maestro has been this season for the Reds.

Indeed, Mac Allister seems set on remaining at Liverpool for many years to come, and whilst Madrid could try their luck at making a big bid for the Argentine, they’re likely to be shot down by the Reds, who won’t want to part with their star midfielder.
With Mac Allister sharing his love for Liverpool on social media this week, it’s clear that the 26-year-old has found a home in Anfield and a place where he feels comfortable, with the Argentine a clear fan favourite amongst supporters.
And after the season Mac Allister has just had, the Reds will be crazy to consider selling the South American superstar, who is now firmly in the category of world-class players after his best year yet in the Premier League.
Mac Allister was as influential as anyone in Liverpool’s Premier League title win, and selling and trying to replace the midfielder would be next to impossible for the Reds if such a move even happened this summer.
