There has already been a noticeable acceleration in plans for Liverpool.
This is likely to be just the tip of the iceberg, with a new centre-forward, centre-back, attacking midfielder and potentially a wide forward all set to join.
In order to finance that, there are also likely to be some departures from the Liverpool squad.
One player being linked with a move away is Alexis Mac Allister, who has been integral to the Reds’ success this season.

Mac Allister is reportedly being considered alongside Chelsea’s Enzo Fernandez and Hugo Larsson of Eintracht Frankfurt.
However, in what will be music to Liverpool supporters’ ears, it’s claimed that the Reds’ No.
10 would simply be ‘far too expensive’ for Madrid to sign this summer.
The European champions are said to be ‘huge admirers’ of Mac Allister, but getting him away from Liverpool is reportedly seen as being ‘hugely challenging’ and, as a result, is unlikely to happen.
It is hard to say exactly what kind of price tag Liverpool would place on Mac Allister this summer.
With three years still to run on his contract, Liverpool would be in a strong position should Real, or any other club, come knocking.
Troy Deeney claimed Mac Allister is worth £400m after his recent brilliance in the Premier League, and while that is clearly an exaggeration, the fee would be enormous.
As Liverpool know only too well, Madrid are seemingly reticent to spend big on transfer fees at the moment, preferring to sign big players for nothing.
If that is their strategy on Mac Allister, then they’ll be in for a long wait.
