Report: The eye-watering amount of money Liverpool are set to earn from 10-year Adidas deal

Liverpool made the switch from Nike to Adidas ahead of the 2025/26 season.

The Reds have had a huge summer of change both on and off the pitch, although everything seems to be positive so far.

The players they have signed appear to be of the highest quality, the stars they have sold have helped raise huge amounts of money, and their new kits are simply stunning.



It is the first time they have had an Adidas kit since the 2011/12 season, with the club then switching to Warrior.





Not only has the switch proven to be beneficial due to how well they look and have been sold, but there are some underlying numbers that prove why the decision was made.

Liverpool are set for a pretty hefty payday by their new kit manufacturers, and the exact amount will leave many stunned.

All three of Liverpool’s new kits have been released and all of them have gone down very well with the fans.

After wearing the new green third kit away to Burnley as well, it means all of them have now been worn, with all of them seeing a win.

But another victory in terms of the kit is how much Liverpool are being paid by Adidas to have them as their manufacturers, with this the joint-most expensive deal in the Premier League.

According to Liverpool’s chief commercial operator, Ben Latty, Liverpool’s deal is worth £100m a season, meaning it will be worth a total of £1bn across their 10-year deal.



As per the FC Business magazine, this is £70m a season more than Nike were paying, with this the joint-most expensive deal in the league alongside Man City’s contract with Puma.

In terms of other Adidas deals in the league, Man United are earning £90m per season, while Arsenal get just £75m.

This significant increase in revenue shows another reason why the Reds were able to spend so much this summer in the transfer market, with the Adidas deal looking like it will be very fruitful for both.

As mentioned, the 2011/12 season was the last time Liverpool’s kit manufacturers were Adidas, and that year saw very mixed results.

Under Kenny Dalglish, the Reds finished eighth in the league, although they got to the final in both domestic cups.

They lost the FA Cup final to Chelsea, but defeated Cardiff on penalties to win the League Cup just three months prior.

The club at that point was going through a big change and it certainly was not as stable or successful as it is now, suggesting Adidas’ investment might be a little more worthwhile this time around.
