Liverpool are not messing about this summer and there will be a big revamp ahead of the new campaign.
The Reds are always praised for their attacking prowess and the output they provide for the team, but the defence deserves just as much credit.
Conceding the second-fewest amount of goals in the league this season, Liverpool’s defence was key to their title win and frustrated some of the best attackers in Europe on many occasions.
Changes at the club are happening, however, and big-name players are set to depart, with almost every position on the pitch seeing some sort of change.
Centre-back in particular is one area that could see upgrades made, with one defender still heavily tipped with a move away this summer.

The heart of defence is one of the most important positions and with Virgil van Dijk’s spot nailed on, that leaves just one vacancy available for the rest to fight over.
Jarell Quansah is one of the players fighting for his spot, but he has lost out on many occasions to Ibrahima Konate, causing him to be linked with an Anfield exit.
With all the noise surrounding Florian Wirtz, Fabrizio Romano was keen to mention that Quansah could still move as he is being watched by a handful of clubs.

“Keep an eye on Jarell Quansah because there is some interest from Bundesliga clubs, but also in England,” Romano said on the Here We Go Podcast.

“So I still believe there’s a chance he can go in this transfer window.”
Liverpool want around £25-£30m for Quansah if they are to sell this summer, with Borussia Dortmund and Bayer Leverkusen just two clubs keen.
The young centre-back made his full Liverpool debut under Jurgen Klopp back in 2023, impressing his former boss from the get-go.
Fast-forward three months and he had netted his first goal for the club, with his performance on the day being praised by Klopp.
“He is a top top talent and will be a really good player,” Klopp said post-game against Union SG.
“I’m really happy that he can get these kind of experiences and it’s super important for us, obviously, we need him, and tonight was another step for him.”
Since then, Quansah has developed into a regular first-team player and often comes off the bench, although he will want to see his minutes increase.
A move away might be best if he wants to achieve this, but it would be a real shame given the talent he possesses.
