Now that Fowler is without a job, he’s likely looking for his next project, but the latest rumours to have emerged are rather strange.

However, as per a new report from The Times of India, it seems like both Fowler and Kewell have applied for the India national team job.

The report shares that although there was a ‘flurry’ of applications in the first few days, Fowler and Kewell were the biggest names to have applied.

The AIFF hasn’t released the official list of applicants, but those in the ‘know’ have confirmed that Fowler and Kewell are among the applicants.

Although Steven Gerrard’s time in management is often overlooked by many, it’s clear that he’s had a much more successful run after his retirement than his former Liverpool teammates.

Only time will tell what the future has in store, but for now, Gerrard can hold his head high and say that he’s better off than what Fowler and Kewell seem to be.
