With this in mind, it’s clear why Slot wants to keep Elliott around, but as per a report from American outlet ESPN, if Liverpool bring in another attacker this summer, that could ‘change’ things.
Another reason why Elliott could still be sold this summer is if they receive an offer they ‘simply can’t refuse.’

ESPN also add that the Englishman is seen as a ‘key part’ of Slot’s squad with the Reds still ‘keen’ to keep hold of the 22-year-old this summer.
At the moment, it’s anyone’s guess what could happen, but with the way that things have panned out thus far, it feels like Liverpool would be much better off if they kept him around for just a little longer.
