Federico Chiesa has had a rather forgettable campaign for his debut season with Liverpool.

Mohamed Salah has once again been Liverpool’s star man, with most fans expecting Chiesa to offer the Reds another option on the right wing to allow the Egyptian King the odd rest here and there.

Instead, Slot has chosen against playing the Italy international as he’s only made five Premier League appearances all season.

Even though Giorgio Chiellini labelled Chiesa as “unstoppable” in one-on-one situations, the Italian has failed to prove his worth to Liverpool this term.

And, as per a report from Italian outlet Calcio Mercato, Chiesa could now push himself out of Liverpool after only playing 446 minutes this season.

So, even though Chiesa should be allowed to leave on loan, it feels like an option to buy shouldn’t be included in the deal.

Only time will tell what the future holds, but on paper, it’s hard to see a world where Chiesa doesn’t at least look for a season-long loan move to get back into the swing of things.
