The whole world, but especially Liverpool, will be affected by Diogo Jota’s tragic death for a very long time.
The Reds are currently going through a hugely emotional period that not many teams have ever been in before, with time the only thing that they can be given.
Losing anyone is a tragedy, but to lose a current player at the peak of his powers is truly cruel and shows just how short life can be sometimes.
The tributes paid to Jota have been heartwarming and brought the football community together, showing just how much of an impact he has left on the world.
However, although Liverpool fans only want to think about the Portuguese international at this time, unfortunately for the recruitment team, they still have a job to do, no matter how wrong that may feel.
But, although Barcelona are still keen to make a move for Luis Diaz, the Spanish giants have recognised the impact this will have and made somewhat of a classy gesture.

Moving on with life seems impossible right now for the Reds and both the club and players need time to try and comprehend what has just happened.
Liverpool players are set to return for pre-season training on Tuesday, but whether their game against Preston on Sunday goes ahead is another matter.

Transfer negotiations, however, are something that will take a backseat for now, something Barcelona completely understand.
According to Spanish outlet SPORT, Barcelona will wait a few days or even weeks to even attempt to negotiate a deal for Diaz as they understand the sensitive issue at hand.
The report states that sporting director Deco is still desperate to sign the Colombian this summer, but realise that it is very complicated at the moment, but not impossible.

Barcelona have made Diaz their top target after being publicly rejected by Athletic Bilbao forward Nico Williams, with the Spaniard opting to sign a new 10-year deal instead.
This angered the Spanish giants and they have insisted that they will never try and sign Williams again, but are now desperate to get long-standing target Diaz through the door.
The 28-year-old has been linked with a move away all summer and his departure seems a matter of when rather than if.
Diaz is said to be keen on the move but Barcelona are aware it will be difficult given the fact they have had two approaches rejected already.
Diaz could force a move through, however, with Bayern Munich also interested in signing him this summer.
Liverpool want £72.5m if they are to sell Diaz this summer, although their priority remains to keep hold of their winger as they see him as a vital cog in Arne Slot’s machine.
Whether Barcelona can pay that is another matter but Saudi Arabian clubs certainly can, with Al Nassr also interested in his signature.
It appears clear as day that Diaz will depart this summer but where he goes is yet to be seen, although it is likely nothing will be sorted until Liverpool are ready to do business again.
