Not only does this outline his commitment to forging a career at Liverpool, but it also shows how much earning a move to a team of the Anfield outfit’s stature means to him.

Indeed, both are exceptional talents between the sticks, and both would be able to be a first-team player for Liverpool if Alisson weren’t at the club.

Kelleher and Mamardashvili didn’t play the same number of games, but when the quality of the leagues are taken into account and the age of both players, on paper, it feels like Liverpool made the right choice.
