Liverpool made a breakthrough on their deal to sign Hugo Ekitike from Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday as the Reds close in on another big move.
It has been something of an unprecedented summer window at Anfield, with Liverpool determined to build on their Premier League title win.
This has led to the surprise record signing of Florian Wirtz, as well as exciting purchases of Jeremie Frimpong and Milos Kerkez.
Meanwhile, goalkeeping trio Giorgi Mamardashvili, Freddie Woodman and Armin Pecsi have all arrived to give the Liverpool squad a brand new feel.
But Liverpool clearly are not finished there, and having targeted a new centre-forward, reports on Saturday finally broke that an ‘outline agreement’ has been reached with Eintracht Frankfurt for Ekitike.
And as supporters gear up to see another big name through the door, journalists have converged to give a prediction on when Ekitike’s Anfield addition will be sealed.

And after advancing matters on Saturday, The Guardian report that the move is expected to be fully completed next week.

“Outline agreement between Liverpool & Eintracht Frankfurt for transfer of Hugo Ekitike to LFC,” Ornstein said.
If all add-ons met SGE anticipate club-record sale (currently €95m).”
After Ekitike sat out of Eintracht’s friendly match on Saturday, a move had started to look like an inevitability.
Now that things have moved forward again, journalist Fabrizio Romano outlined the plan for Sunday.
“Liverpool and Eintracht are expected to be in contact today to seal add-ons structure for Hugo Ekitike deal,” says Romano.
“The player has been clear with Eintracht: he wants Liverpool as absolute priority, six year deal ready.”
This one could start to move thick and fast on Sunday, as Liverpool aim to get Ekitike on the plane to join his teammates out in the Far East.
