Liverpool’s attackers are hot property this summer and they have some big decisions to make regarding who to cash in on.
The Reds’ summer of change is in full swing and Arne Slot will have to be ruthless to ensure his squad is in the best possible shape to retain their title next season.
The Dutchman would, ideally, use pre-season to work out his best options, but many changes may occur between now and then, especially within the forward line.
Almost every attacker at the club has had rumours of a move away at some point this summer, none more so than Luis Diaz, however, as his links persist.
Barcelona are one of the sides wanting the Colombian and the winger was said to be keen on a move to the Spanish giants, although a deal has not quite yet materialised.
But now, Diaz’s chances of joining the club may have increased and they could be about to perform a huge U-turn in order to sign him.

Barcelona have been very public about their attempts to sign a winger this summer and they are still keen to let everyone know that their stance has not changed.
Their sporting director Deco has admitted his fondness of Diaz earlier this summer and he appeared top target, but then they switched their attention to Nico Williams, suggesting they thought a move was not plausible.

However, despite agreeing personal terms with the Athletic Bilbao winger, talks have stalled and Mundo Deportivo have reported that Barcelona could now reignite their interest in Diaz.

They note that his versatility and experience at the highest level give him the edge over Williams, hence the reason they are big admirers of his, but they know it won’t be easy to prise him away from Anfield.
Liverpool do not want to sell the 28-year-old and will only negotiate if they expect a big offer to come their way, although Barcelona have known that since they began their pursuit.
Williams’ camp are said to be calm about the situation and still expect a deal to be completed, but Barcelona’s patience is wearing thin and they are unwilling to discard the possibility of returning for Diaz.
This has been a drawn-out saga that has persisted most of the summer and, although there is still plenty of time left, the story may have reached its climax in the next week or so.
This is because Al Nassr are reportedly willing to pay £73m for Diaz, a bid that the Reds are almost guaranteed to accept as they would have more than doubled the money they originally paid for him.
His move to Saudi could also gain significant traction in the coming days because not only does their transfer window open tomorrow on 1st July, but they are already making room for his arrival.
Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Jhon Duran to Fenerbahce is almost a done deal, meaning they look set to swap one Colombian with another.
The Saudi club signed him for £65m in January and they will likely get a good chunk of that fee back, freeing up space and money to move for Diaz.
This might suit Liverpool as a bidding war might break out, although Barcelona stand little chance competing with the financial power Al Nassr have.
