Why Ruben Amorim prefers a move to West Ham over Liverpool this summer

It has now been shared why Ruben Amorim would potentially prefer a move to West Ham United over Liverpool this coming summer.

Yesterday the news broke that the Portuguese manager is now unlikely to be the man to replace Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool next season.

And instead, it seems as if Ruben Amorim is now a strong candidate to lead the way at West Ham should David Moyes depart this summer.

That revelation will have definitely surprised a few of a Liverpool persuasion, who were constantly hearing news of agreements and such.

However, there’s always twists and turns in these scenarios, and perhaps Brighton & Hove Albion boss Roberto De Zerbi may now emerge as a strong contender for the Reds.

That being said, Portuguese outlet Zero Zero have just shared a report detailing why Ruben Amorim would prefer a move to West Ham over Liverpool this summer.

West Ham fans should probably be mindful not to get too carried away, given how things have ended up with Amorim and Liverpool, but the signs seem to be promising.

Ruben Amorim thinks he would have more freedom at West Ham than Liverpool

According to the report mentioned, Ruben Amorim considers West Ham a great opportunity for a number of reasons.

The manager considers them the ‘perfect’ team because of their financial stability, their modern stadium and their ‘moderate sporting pressure’.

The report states that replacing Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool would be a very ‘uncomfortable’ task, in reference to the standards the German has created.

And in West Ham, Amorim considers that he would have the freedom to design a squad to his liking.

In that respect it’s hard to argue with Amorim’s decision to a degree, and he shouldn’t be labelled unambitious because so.

Replacing Jurgen Klopp will be no easy task

Following the likes of Sir Alex Ferguson and Arsene Wenger at Manchester United and Arsenal respectively has proved an almost impossible task.

It felt as if Arsenal almost needed Unai Emery to take the hit of the uncertainty that existed at the club post-Wenger, in order for Mikel Arteta to succeed.

And with there currently so much penchant for change at West Ham, with David Moyes’ position now coming under increased scrutiny, the job could present something akin to a clean slate.

All that being said, West Ham are also said to like another Portuguese manager as well as Ruben Amorim.
