There is a new update on the future of Luis Diaz amid strong interest from Bayern Munich.

Diaz’s future has been one of the major talking points among Liverpool fans in the last few weeks.

The 28-year-old enjoyed a strong 2024/25 season, where he played a key role in Arne Slot’s side Premier League title win.

However, it appears that he may have played his last season at the club as he continues to be linked with a move away from Anfield.

Barcelona, Al Nassr and now Bayern Munich have all been linked with a potential move for the winger, who has two years left on his Liverpool contract.

The club are eager to keep Diaz, but it is being widely reported that he wants out of Liverpool, because the club are unwilling, or unable to match his contractual desires.

Diaz and his entuorage, it is reported, are angry with Liverpool and have began discussions with other clubs over a potential move.

Recent reports from Germany have confirmed that Bayern Munich are now the club leading the race for Diaz.

According to a recent report from BILD, the German champions have agreed personal terms with the 28-year-old.

Another report by Sky Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg confirmed that the Colombian has now taken it a step further and submitted a transfer request.

Things got more interesting on Thursday as BILD further announced that Bayern Munich has made an initial €52 million offer for Diaz.

“According to SPORT BILD, FC Bayern has reportedly made an initial offer for Liverpool star Luis Diaz (28),” the report said.

However, British journalist Ben Jacobs has clarified the latest update from BILD, revealing that Liverpool have not received any bid for Diaz.

According to the journalist, the Reds have simply refused to entertain discussions with Bayern for Diaz.

“Understand Liverpool have refused to engage with Bayern over Luis Diaz,” the reporter wrote.

“Liverpool have been unequivocal in their not-for-sale stance and rebuffed all advances to date.

“No formal bid received, and zero engagement or encouragement from Liverpool other than outlining their position?

Liverpool have no plans to allow Bayern to present or discuss any bid.”
