Liverpool could earn as much as £60million if they go on to win the Europa League next season, Football Insider has learned. The Merseyside club are set to miss out on Champions League qualification this season with Jurgen Klopp’s side fifth in the table with one game remaining. Unless Man United lose both of their remaining Premier League matches, including Thursday’s clash against Chelsea, Liverpool will return to the Europa League for the first time since the 2015-16 season when they finished runners-up to Sevilla.

Liverpool would also earn an extra £4.3million if they win all of their six group stage games, with Uefa awarding £550,000 per win and a lump sum of £1million for topping the group.



Football Insider’s analysis also expects Liverpool to earn around £17million from Uefa’s market pool payments if they go on to win the competition.



Finally, a lengthy run in the Europa League would boost Liverpool’s matchday revenue significantly.



Overall, Europa League success in 2023/24 would pocket Liverpool a lump sum of around £55-£60million.
