As seen when the likes of Arsene Wenger and Sir Alex Ferguson moved on after such long periods at their respective clubs, teams usually struggle and go through many years of transition.
However, the transition from Klopp to Arne Slot was seamless and if anything, Liverpool actually got better.
The praise for Slot should be just as loud as the criticism rival fans had when he was appointed, with one Arsenal legend doing just that and revealing why he thinks Slot has been so successful so quickly.

Arsenal were the closest team to Liverpool last season and know all too well how good of a job Slot has done since he came in.
With Manchester City dropping off, the Gunners will have seen last season as a missed opportunity after also coming so close over the previous few years.

However, Slot’s impact was instant and he managed to do something that Mikel Arteta has been trying to do for so many years, with Perry Groves telling talkSPORT why he thinks he was able to do this in such a short period of time.
“At first when managers go into clubs they try to do it too quickly, have a revolution, upset a lot of players, and say ‘this is the way I’m going to do it, the way I’m going to play and these are the players I want,'” Groves said.

”Arne Slot has shown no ego at all and it has been evolution, which was obviously last season.
Slot came in and just tweaked it, like Gravenberch or Mac Allister playing as holding midfielders when out of possession to give them more strength.
This is now Arne Slot’s team and this is him going ‘right, I’m going to put my mark on it.’”
Arguably, if you win a Premier League title, you are already considered a bit of a legend at a club.
However, Liverpool have very high standards, so Slot will need to win a few more trophies before fans label him as one.
However, he has shown all the right signs in his first season and based on how he is being backed this summer, he has everything he needs at his disposal to win the lot.
Owners FSG clearly have the intention of keeping Liverpool at the top and believe Slot is the man to do just that, with the super team they are building capable of winning the Premier League and the Champions League.
The latter will likely be their main objective next season but expectations will also be to retain the title, one of the hardest jobs in football.
But, if Slot delivers what many expect and continues for quite a few more years, he could end his tenure at Liverpool as one of the greatest managers in their history, although fans will hope that he does not go anywhere anytime soon.
