Arsenal winger Reiss Nelson received a message from Riccardo Calafiori as speculation continues over his future in North London.
Nelson spent last season on loan at Fulham after slipping down the pecking order at Arsenal, but his spell at Craven Cottage was cut short by injury.
The winger was plagued by recurring hamstring issues before Nelson opted for hamstring surgery in February, bringing his campaign to an early end.
Now back at Arsenal with the 2025/26 season underway, he finds himself facing uncertainty once again.
Arsenal are open to letting the academy graduate leave, with sources telling Football Insider today that Crystal Palace are in talks to agree a deal.
Fulham had also been close to bringing Nelson back on loan, but discussions broke down as Marco Silva’s side shifted their attention to Brazilian winger Kevin instead.
Despite the ongoing speculation, Nelson received a supportive message from teammate Calafiori as preparations for Arsenal’s next fixture continues.

Nelson continues to train with the first team despite strong speculation that he could be on the move before the window closes.
While Silva’s side had previously been pushing to bring the 25-year-old back to Craven Cottage, but their pursuit has cooled as Fulham close in on a deal for Shakhtar Donetsk winger Kevin.
That has left Crystal Palace with what looks to be a clearer run at securing Nelson’s signature.
Injuries have severely disrupted Nelson’s career, with the winger missing 28 matches last season alone and a further 17 the campaign before due to a recurring thigh problem.
Prior to his setback, he had begun to establish himself at Fulham, making 12 appearances, scoring twice and providing one assist.
A fresh start away from Arsenal may now prove the best solution for both player and club.
