Liverpool are in the market for a new centre-forward this summer, with Alexander Isak and Hugo Ekitike two of the Reds’ leading targets.
James’ Park, they will instead debate whether or not to make their own move for Ekitike - with Newcastle already in talks with Eintracht Frankfurt regarding a club-record move for the Frenchman.

However, they are not the only forwards Liverpool have been linked with.
During his time with Bournemouth, the former Scotland international actually agreed a deal to sign the forward.
Jackson was then on the books of Villarreal as the Cherries agreed a £20.3m deal to sign the forward in January 2023.
He had looked set to join their South Coast rivals, Southampton, only for Hughes to move fast to secure his signature.
Striking a deal, Jackson was filmed boarding a private jet and flew to the United Kingdom to finalise the move.
However, Bournemouth ultimately ended up cancelling the deal after the forward failed his medical due to a hamstring injury.
Then in a Premier League relegation fight, they did not feel they could gamble on waiting for the forward to return to fitness after it emerged he would be ruled out for longer than first thought.
After returning to action in March, Jackson scored 10 goals from his final 11 appearances of the season for Villarreal, with such form not going unnoticed as he completed a £32m move to Chelsea in June 2023.
In the midst of his scoring spree in Spain, the striker admitted he had had a ‘tough time’ when his move to the Premier League fell through.
"I'm happy now.
"He didn't pass his medical but actually he played much sooner than we thought he would."
Now 24, Jackson has scored 30 goals in 81 games for Chelsea and helped the Londoners win the FIFA Club World Cup and UEFA Europa Conference League.
However, he came under fire after receiving red cards against Newcastle United and Flamengo, while his finishing has also been called into question during his time at Stamford Bridge.
The arrivals of Pedro and Delap leave his future at Chelsea uncertain and could create a transfer opportunity should he be made available.

But just because Hughes has tried to sign Jackson in the past does not mean he will revisit that interest with Liverpool.
