Richard Keys has revealed what he believes is the reason for Liverpool dropping out of contention for two trophies in recent weeks and ceding the advantage to Manchester City in the Premier League title race.
Liverpool was knocked out of the Europa League by Atalanta on Thursday despite Mohamed Salah's penalty sealing a 1-0 win in Bergamo on the night.
The Reds lost at Old Trafford to Manchester United in the FA Cup and then dropped points to the same team three weeks later, before losing to Crystal Palace last weekend.
It means that for Jürgen Klopp to win more silverware before he departs Anfield at the end of the season, the German's team will need to win all six remaining Premier League matches and also hope that Manchester City slips up.
Pep Guardiola's side has a more favorable run-in and is out of the Champions League after it lost to Real Madrid.

But Keys has claimed that Klopp announcing his exit in January has played a part in the loss of form that Liverpool has found in recent fixtures.
Sadly it’s beginning to look as though Klopp’s ill judged announcement has killed Liverpool not lifted them."
Liverpool.com says: There are a few issues that can be taken with this suggestion.
When dealing with summer transfer targets or contract renewals for key men, Klopp would have had to tell someone at some point that he was departing.
Aside from that, though, there is no proof whatsoever that Klopp's decision has made things harder.
All season long, Liverpool has struggled with conceding opening goals and making life harder for itself.
