Tottenham's Richarlison has responded to Harvey Elliott after the latter attempted to taunt the Brazilian during Liverpool's 5-1 victory over the North London side that wrapped up the Premier League title.
Dutch boss Arne Slot has led the Reds to the championship in his first season on Merseyside and their 20th top-flight title overall.
Understandably, the Liverpool players were in high spirits during the match at Anfield as they celebrated their significant win and prepared to start their title festivities, with Elliott particularly playful towards the end of the game.
The midfielder only entered the pitch in the 76th minute, replacing Luis Diaz, and contributed a few key moments to help Liverpool secure the win.
However, in extra time, Elliott engaged in a verbal exchange with Richarlison after the Tottenham forward grabbed him during a conversation, which seemed to irritate the 22 year old.
Elliott then pushed his opponent before exchanging words with the former Everton striker.
Referee Thomas Bramall had to intervene and separate them, with the midfielder then making a 'three' and a 'zero' gesture with his hands, reports the Mirror.

Initially, it was unclear what Elliott was implying, but it is now understood that he was indicating the number of years Everton have been without a trophy - a pointed reference to Richarlison's four seasons with the Toffees from 2018 to 2022.
Richarlison responded with humour to a video posted by a fan showing an interaction with Elliott.
He quipped, "He wants to reach 30 goals in his career I think."

Elliott has managed to net a total of 22 goals throughout his career, with 14 of them scored in 143 matches for Liverpool.
Both Richarlison and Elliott are known for not backing down on the pitch, and Richarlison is particularly noted for his confrontations with opposing players during games.
Indeed, Richarlison had a run-in with Virgil van Dijk as Tottenham faced a heavy defeat against Liverpool in the Carabao Cup semi-final at Anfield earlier in the year.
The Brazilian fell to the ground holding his face after what seemed to be an elbow from the Dutch defender.

Following the incident, Richarlison confronted Van Dijk with a shoulder barge, leading some Liverpool fans to accuse him of trying to get Van Dijk dismissed.
