There are many issues at Man United, but creating goal-scoring chances isn’t one of them, according to data.
Ferdinand said: “I look at Sesko and if I was him I’d be the most frustrated man on the planet, if your wingers and wide men aren’t putting the ball in the box for you enough you should be going mad and screaming at them, and I think that’s why I want to see him demanding more from his teammates.”

Ferdinand also spoke about United’s wider goalscoring troubles: “A lot of the data does tell you that they’re getting in the right positions and doing the right things.
“That’s where Man United are falling down and on their knees at the moment, they can’t score enough goals, and if you’re not scoring at any moment in the game, the team are under immense pressure consistently.
“Behind the scenes, I think he’ll [Amorim] be talking with his staff and saying, ‘there’s some positives but we’re not seeing the fruits of it because we aren’t scoring, we can celebrate those positives because we aren’t scoring.
The Slovenian would once have been allowed time to adjust to living in a new country and playing in a new league, but the brutal nature of modern football means Sesko is already under intense scrutiny.
Despite featuring in all six games this season, Sesko has only made three starts, playing just three full games’ worth of football in a United shirt so far.
Across that period, Man United’s teammates have only generated chances that have accumulated 0.4 expected goals (xG) for Sesko, which equates to only 0.17 xG per 90.

For reference, Liverpool have generated 0.68 xG per 90 for Hugo Ekitike since his move from the Bundesliga, while Arsenal have generated 0.51 xG for Viktor Gyokeres.
Compared to the other two high-profile striker moves to the Premier League this season, Sesko has been bereft of creativity in a United side bursting at the seams with players who tend to generate a lot of their own chances.
Signs of Sesko’s qualities have shone through with his athleticism and ball control on show, and when his teammates begin creating more chances for the former Leipzig man, there’s no doubt he can start scoring regularly.
