Liverpool and Arsenal have both been given a glimpse into the future with the emergence of Rio Nguhoma and Max Dowman respectively.
Arne Slot and Mikel Arteta have spent £450million combined in this summer’s transfer window, bringing the likes of Florian Wirtz, Hugo Ekitike, Martin Zubimendi and Viktor Gyokeres to the Premier League.
Liverpool‘s campaign officially got underway with defeat to Crystal Palace in Sunday’s Community Shield at Wembley, in which Wirtz, Ekitike, Milos Kerkez and Jeremie Frimpong all made their first appearances.
Arsenal are also expected to name a new-look side for their Premier League opener against Man United on 17 August, but both clubs could have trump cards to play off the bench over the course of the season.

Liverpool and Arsenal’s expensively-assembled frontlines are expected to attract plenty of attention this term, and fans of both clubs are anticipating breakout seasons from Ngumoha and Dowman respectively.
Ngumoha scored in three of the Reds’ pre-season friendlies and his individual strike against Yokohama F.
Marinos sparked comparisons to Lamine Yamal from Liverpool fans, as a Premier League debut beckons.
Dowman has also been front and centre of Arsenal’s pre-season preparations with his displays earning comparisons to both Yamal and Wayne Rooney, with the 15-year-old also in line for first-team action.

Football Insider Verdict
Dowman’s level of talent is undeniable at the age of just 15, with Perry Groves calling the Arsenal academy product “scary” after his impact in the Gunners’ friendly defeat to Villarreal at the Emirates.
Similarly, Ngumoha’s rapid emergence at Anfield this summer could lead Liverpool to abandon their pursuit of a new left winger, with targets like PSG’s Bradley Barcola potentially stunting his development.
Both youngsters face tough tasks to establish themselves in the wake of their respective clubs’ outlays in the transfer market this summer, but Dowman and Ngumoha can each be expected to raise eyebrows if and when they get on the pitch.
