Still only 16, the young winger is already carving out space for himself among senior players and he’s doing so with confidence far beyond his years.
Speaking from Hong Kong during Liverpool’s pre-season tour, Ngumoha reflected on his goal in the 5–0 friendly win over Stoke City with a grin (via Liverpool FC):
“It was my first goal and definitely many more to come!”
His smile, paired with the comment, revealed the mindset of a player who’s hungry for more.

He’s already made two senior appearances this summer and started the first pre-season game at Preston North End, where he played a key role in Conor Bradley’s opening goal.
For a player yet to turn 17, Ngumoha is moving fast.

When asked about adapting to life in the first team, Ngumoha pointed directly to the mentorship of senior players, especially Mohamed Salah.
So I definitely can learn a lot from them.”
He also credited other senior players with helping younger teammates like himself and Trey Nyoni settle in, both on and off the pitch.
“They really help the young players.
Training with the best team in the world, the players you get to train with, you learn from them and you really test yourself.”
Despite the rapid progress, Ngumoha remains grounded.
