Liverpool are reportedly eyeing Jude Bellingham, a player who Ian Wright thinks could be “frightening” for England at Euro 2020.

According to Eurosport, the Reds have been monitoring the Borussia Dortmund prodigy.

Bellingham has made 46 appearances for his club in all competitions this season.

The 17-year-old has also won four caps for England and is in Gareth Southgate’s Euro 2020 squad.

Celtic strike Premier Sports deal - is this the "additional value" we've been waiting for?

Bellingham started against Austria in last week’s pre-tournament friendly at Wembley, which was a huge achievement.

At 17 years and 338 days, he became the youngest player to start for England since Wayne Rooney in 2003.

And Wright is especially excited about Bellingham and two of his teammates – Jack Grealish and Jadon Sancho.

Speaking on the Wrighty’s House podcast, he predicted those three could tear opposition defences apart.

“When you look at Grealish, Sancho and Bellingham – you have the capability of calling on those three players,” he said.

“They are ripping teams apart. Can you imagine those three when they are riffing off each other?

“What they could do to the opposing team! It’s frightening, it’s terrifying!”

It’s frightening to think that Bellingham is already so good and he’s not even 18 yet.

As we all know, Rooney ended up having an incredible career, so there’ll be a lot of interest in Bellingham.

And Gareth Southgate recently hinted that the Dortmund gem will have a significant role to play at Euro 2020.

“Jude is phenomenal,” he told talkSPORT last Tuesday.

“Just in training in the last couple of days, to have a 17-year-old, who wants to compete with senior players, not only has the technique, but the competitiveness and maturity… he’s a hugely exciting player.

“He’s going to be an important player for England. We’re not just taking him for the experience.”
