Having beaten AC Milan in their opening Champions League clash and thumping West Ham 5-1 in the Carabao Cup third round, things are certainly looking rosy under Slot.
His biggest success so far has to be the 3-0 victory over arch rivals Manchester United at Old Trafford - a result that truly endeared him to the Liverpool faithful.
It meant that when Slot commented on Liverpool's need to prove themselves against a top Premier League club, fans all drew the same conclusion.
Speaking to the media, Slot said: "One of the reasons we can compete is because we have a lot of quality and I also see a lot of team cohesion in the team.
"Like I said, every fixture [is] really difficult in the Premier League, but everybody tells me that a top league table team is a bit more difficult than a lower league table team, which we can all understand and we haven't faced one of them yet.
