That is, especially since he managed to play in the Premier League right until the end of his career.

Over the next few years, many Premier League stalwarts such as Lallana will be calling it a day and hanging up their boots so that the next generation can come in and prove their worth.

Lallana and Milner even got another season together at the Amex before Lallana chose to make the move back to Southampton for the final campaign of his career.

The 2025-26 season will be the 24th Premier League campaign that Milner will have been a part of, which is an achievement in itself.

Only time will tell whether the 2025/26 season will be Milner’s last, but if it is, he, much like Lallana, will have had a career to be proud of.
