Former Liverpool teammates Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane will not be meeting one another in this season's AFC Champions League Elite final.
The former's Al-Ahli were successful in winning their semi-final on Tuesday night, but the latter's Al-Nassr were dumped out of the competition in their own tie on Wednesday.
Firmino has been a standout performer in the AFC Champions League this year - despite the fact that earlier on in the season he was removed from the club's Saudi Pro League squad.
Mane actually netted an equaliser in the 28th minute, though the former Liverpool man, Cristiano Ronaldo and their other former Premier League cohort were left distraught as they narrowly lost 3-2.

Frontale are evidently no pushovers, though, as Al-Nassr sit above Al-Ahli in their domestic league table.
But Al Nassr's defeat denies a reunion between former Liverpool teammates for the grand final in Jeddah, who were once two parts of a deadly trio.
Firmino made 362 outings for the Reds between 2015 and 2023, scoring 111 and assisting 76 goals.
Meanwhile Mane joined in 2016, left in 2022 and during his spell was the scorer of 120 goals and assister of 44.

The triumph of Jurgen Klopp's team has of course just been added to by Arne Slot as Liverpool claimed their 20th-ever English title on Sunday.
The third and final member of their trio, Mohamed Salah, has outlasted both to remain with the Reds until at least 2027 based on his freshly-signed contract, and made an incredible admission regarding his former teammates.
"It's incredible.
To win the Premier League with the fans is something special," the Egyptian began.
"This is way better (than five years ago).
