The future of Rodrigo Muniz looks a lot clearer following the latest update from Leeds United.
Muniz has started just 26 Premier League matches for Fulham over the last two seasons combined, but has still posted solid numbers with 17 goals and two assists during that time.
The Brazilian’s record extends to 21 goals in 69 appearances across all competitions since the start of 2023/24, proving himself a reliable contributor in the final third for Marco Silva.
Despite not being a regular starter, Muniz’s form has attracted the attention of other clubs in the market this summer, with Leeds United and Atalanta both being linked with his signature.

A move to Elland Road now looks off the cards for Muniz following the news that Leeds are progressing in talks to sign former Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin as a free agent.
Sunderland are waiting in the wings should Calvert-Lewin’s Leeds switch fall apart, but that now seems unlikely with the Whites already scheduling a medical (BBC, 13 August).
That leaves Atalanta as the main potential destination for Muniz.

The Bergamo side are desperate for a new No.9 after selling last season’s Serie A top scorer, Mateo Retegui, to Saudi side Al-Qadsiah.
Atalanta have already lodged a £34.5million offer for Muniz, with Fulham rejecting it and standing firm in their valuation of £43.1m.
Muniz only has one year remaining on his contract, but Fulham’s negotiating position is strengthened by their having the option to extend his deal for another season.

A new striker is a priority for Marco Silva this summer, regardless of what happens to Muniz, with Raul Jimenez coming off a solid 14-goal season (all comps) but now 34 years old.
But a winger will also be on the cards, with Alex Iwobi, Harry Wilson and Adama Traore Fulham’s only recognised senior options right now.
The Cottagers have been heavily linked with a move to bring Reiss Nelson back to the club following his loan from Arsenal last season, but those plans could change as Fulham push to sign Kevin from Shakhtar Donetsk.
Fulham were also targeting midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall from Chelsea before he opted to move to Everton — so reinforcements through the middle also appear to be on Silva’s shopping list.
There have been fears that Silva could quit Fulham this summer due to the transfer frustrations he’s endured so far.
