Fulham players both past and present were among those to respond to Antonee Robinson’s message after making his return from injury.

Robinson was a standout performer for Marco Silva’s side last season, providing 10 assists from left-back in what proved to be one of his strongest campaigns for the club.

However, Robinson was forced to undergo knee surgery in May after a series of setbacks, which ruled him out for the start of the new season.

Although he missed Fulham’s opening fixture against Brighton, the USA International made his long-awaited comeback in the recent 1-1 draw against Manchester United.

Following his return, the 28-year-old shared a message of gratitude, with current and former Fulham teammates quick to show their support.

Robinson marked his return to action with a message on Instagram, writing: “Great to be back out there at the Cottage” followed by a heart emoji.

The post drew plenty of reactions from teammates past and present, with Rodrigo Muniz responding with heart-eye emojis, while Alex Iwobi and former Fulham midfielder Joao Palhinha also showed their support by liking the post.

Now entering his sixth season at Craven Cottage, Robinson’s importance to Silva’s side was underlined as he was immediately restored to the starting line-up following his recovery.

He has had a rough few months as Robinson had also been forced to withdraw from international duty with the USA, opting instead to undergo treatment that eventually led to minor knee surgery.

His decision to prioritise his recovery has paid off, with his return giving Fulham a timely boost.

His consistent form has also attracted interest from top Premier League sides, with both Manchester United and Arsenal reportedly monitoring Robinson.

For now, though, his focus remains firmly on Fulham, with the Cottagers set to face Bristol City in the Carabao Cup.

While Fulham are preparing for their next fixture, attention has also turned to the future of manager Silva.

Football Insider revealed Nottingham Forest have identified Silva as a leading candidate to replace Nuno Espirito Santo should they decide to make a change.

While Nuno has dismissed suggestions that he is seeking to leave the City Ground, it appears that owner Evangelos Marinakis is already considering alternatives — with Silva high on the shortlist.

Silva has already turned down approaches from clubs including Tottenham this summer, preferring to remain in west London.

However, with Fulham yet to make any major signings during the transfer window, questions remain over whether he could eventually be tempted away.
