Real Madrid winger Rodrygo shared an update as speculation continues to swirl around his future amid ongoing talks with Liverpool.
The Brazilian was left on the bench during Madrid’s latest fixture against Osasuna, a decision that only added fuel to the rumours of a potential late move before the transfer window closes.
Football Insider revealed Liverpool have already met with Rodrygo’s representatives to discuss the possibility of a deal and to understand his wage demands.
The Reds had initially focused their efforts on signing Alexander Isak, but with Newcastle unwilling to sell without first securing a replacement, attention has shifted towards Madrid’s wide man.
Transfer correspondent Pete O’Rourke also revealed to Football Insider that both Liverpool and Manchester City are firmly in the race for Rodrygo, with talks already underway as clubs weigh up their options in the final days of the window.
Now, with the uncertainty over his next step, Rodrygo has offered an update on social media to his supporters.

The Brazilian winger has not started any of Los Blancos’ last six competitive fixtures under Xabi Alonso, fuelling talk of a possible exit.
However, he has remained involved in training, suggesting he is still part of the manager’s plans despite growing interest from the Premier League.
He has been at Madrid since 2019 but has often been used as a rotational option as his minutes have been restricted, particularly with Vinicius Junior and Kylian Mbappe preferred on the left wing last season, leaving the 24-year-old struggling to secure a regular place in the starting XI.
As reported by Football Insider, Liverpool are prepared to turn to Rodrygo if their pursuit of Isak collapses, and it appears groundwork already being laid for a potential deal for the Brazilian.
Arsenal also showed interest earlier in the summer but are now prioritising a move for Eberechi Eze, leaving Liverpool and Manchester City to battle it out for the winger’s signature.

While Arne Slot’s side weigh up a move for Rodrygo, another player could be heading out of Anfield.
Football Insider revealed RB Leipzig are finalising discussions with Liverpool over a deal for Harvey Elliott and it’s understood there is still a “strong possibility” that the 22-year-old opts for a move to the Bundesliga rather than staying in the Premier League.
Liverpool are reportedly seeking around £40 million for Elliott, a fee that would help balance the books and ease the financial pressure if they decide to push forward with an ambitious move for Rodrygo.
