Liverpool have had one of their busiest summer windows in recent years - securing the signings of Florian Wirtz, Milos Kerkez, Jeremie Frimpong and Hugo Ekitike.
Newcastle United star Alexander Isak remains a prominent name in the conversation, with Liverpool having seen a bid rejected earlier this month.
Whether they return with a second offer remains to be seen, but that is likely to depend on whether their North East counterparts show a willingness to engage, potentially signalled by Newcastle bringing in reinforcements of their own.

Elsewhere, Real Madrid's Rodrygo continues to be linked with a move away from the Bernabeu, having slipped down the pecking order.
The Brazilian joined the La Liga giants as a teenager - back in 2018 - but the arrival of Xabi Alonso, combined with increased competition for places, suggests he may now be surplus to requirements and could be allowed to leave before the transfer deadline.
However, there have been conflicting reports in Spain regarding the player's willingness to depart.
Some suggest he is open to a move, while others claim he is determined to fight for his place under Alonso.
What has been widely reported, though, is that Real Madrid’s asking price is in the region of €100million.
A substantial outlay for any interested clubs, making a move to the Premier League the most likely outcome for him amid reported interest from both Liverpool and Arsenal.
That said, the latest developments indicate another rival could yet enter the race.
According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, Manchester City are now considering a swoop for the 24-year-old.
This comes amid Jack Grealish's expected loan move to Everton, as well as potential exits for both Savinho and James McAtee, who is tipped to join Nottingham Forest.
The report says City view Rodrygo as their dream target, with Pep Guardiola also a huge admirer of the player.
While Liverpool and Arsenal's mooted interest could depend on outgoings - or, in Liverpool's case, missing out on other top targets - City may now be in a position to steal a march on their rivals in the race for Rodrygo's signature.
It has been claimed Real will sanction a sale if their valuation is met and if the player is open to a move.
