Sofyan Amrabat was 'waiting' to join Tottenham last January, now Liverpool could sign him
Reports from Italy this week have claimed that Liverpool are interested in signing Sofyan Amrabat – a midfielder who was desperate to join Tottenham Hotspur not too long ago. Multiple reports suggested that a move is likely, and Fabrizio Romano even revealed that Amrabat was ‘waiting’ and really wanted to join Tottenham.
He was ‘waiting’ to join Tottenham last January
This isn’t the first time Amrabat has been linked with a move to the Premier League.
In one of the next two transfer windows, everyone’s expecting Liverpool to sign another midfielder, and Fiorentina’s Amrabat would be a very interesting option.
Sadly for him, a move didn’t materialise, but if things go his way in the coming months, he could well become a Liverpool player. Klopp and co were really keen to sign a new central midfielder in the summer, but their main targets proved to be unattainable. Reinforcements in January are a necessity, and Amrabat is the latest name out of the rumour mill.
