Liverpool need to sign at least three players in the summer transfer window if they are to stand any chance of defending their Premier League title.
That’s the opinion of Roy Keane, who has urged Arne Slot to be ruthless if the Reds are to go back to back.
Liverpool were beaten 3-1 by Chelsea on Sunday in their first match since securing the Premier League title.
But with under a month to go until the transfer window opens on June 1, sporting director Richard Hughes has plenty else on his mind.

Keane watched their defeat at Stamford Bridge and feels that, although they won the league, Liverpool lack strength in depth in key positions.

Speaking before the Chelsea game, Slot said that attracting top players will be made easier by Liverpool’s title win.
He said: “Winning the league, having these fans, I think that is a big attraction to every player we want to bring in and it is definitely helpful.”
After missing out on the £51million signing of midfielder Martin Zubimendi, Liverpool only brought in Federico Chiesa last summer.
