Ruben Amorim is uncertain whether Manchester United will sign a new goalkeeper after Altay Bayindir’s error against Arsenal.
After enduring a poor Premier League campaign last term, Man United suffered a 1-0 defeat to Arsenal on 17 August to start the new season.
The North West club made a good account of themselves in some aspects, with new signing Matheus Cunha impressing supporters.
However, the game was decided when Bayindir failed to deal with a corner, inadvertently punching the ball into Riccardo Calafiori’s pathway to hand Arsenal their goal.

Amid a busy transfer window, Man United have signed striker Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig.
The former Leipzig man made his Premier League debut off the bench as Amorim’s men were beaten by Arsenal at Old Trafford.
However, after witnessing Bayindir’s error against Mikel Arteta’s side, the Old Trafford faithful will now be eager to know when a new goalkeeper is coming through the doors.

But speaking to talkSPORT’s Alex Crook about the possibility of signing a new shot-stopper after his side’s defeat on Sunday, Amorim said: “It is hard to say what is going to happen, but I don’t see that happening in an easy way.”
Amorim’s comments will not reassure Man United supporters that a new goalkeeper is arriving, even though usual first choice Andre Onana was absent against Arsenal.

Meanwhile, Football Insider have exclusively revealed that Brighton want £100million for Carlos Baleba, who is a Red Devils transfer target.
Even if the North West club are reluctant to stump up that kind of fee for the Seagulls star, their interest in the 21-year-old portrays Amorim’s desire to sign a new midfielder.
Meanwhile, Baleba proved his worth once again by performing well when Brighton drew 1-1 with Fulham on Saturday, 16 August, with goals arriving from Matt O’Riley and Rodrigo Muniz.
Amorim has heavily invested in his attack this summer, with Bryan Mbeumo, Cunha, and Sesko all arriving in the North West ahead of the new Premier League season.
Bit acquiring a new midfielder would further bolster the Red Devils’ chances of finishing in the upper echelons of the top-flight table.
