Ruben Amorim has refused to rule out talks with Chelsea after appearing to miss out on both the Liverpool and West Ham jobs.
Liverpool are set to appoint Feyenoord boss Arne Slot as the successor to Jurgen Klopp, while West Ham are close to reaching an agreement with ex-Spain, Real Madrid and Wolves manager Julen Lopetegui.
Sporting Lisbon boss Amorim was considered Europe's most in-demand coach just a few weeks ago, even being tipped for the Barcelona job before Xavi U-turned on his decision to leave.
But after missing out on all three, it's now being speculated that during the 39-year-old's recent visit to London - which he's since apologised for, despite it being authorised by Sporting - was to meet representatives from Chelsea as well as West Ham.
Current manager Mauricio Pochettino's future has been under the spotlight in recent months, although results have improved of late.
Asked on Friday about the possibility of succeeding Pochettino at Chelsea, Amorim replied: "Everything that needs to be said has already been said.
I guess it’s fashionable to talk about coaches, or talk about clubs that fire coaches and then the next day you link another one."
The highly-rated Portuguese tactician was referencing dramatic events which saw Vitoria manager Pacheco speak to Brazilian club Cuiaba on Monday, only to eventually turn down their offer and insist that he 'never had any plans' to leave.
