Graham Potter may seriously be questioning some of the club’s transfer decisions as West Ham continue to struggle across the pitch.
Potter is already under serious pressure at West Ham, winning just six of his 23 matches in charge since replacing Julen Lopetegui at the London Stadium.
Supporters, as well as the defeats, have been left frustrated by the lack of transfer activity throughout the summer, despite late moves for Igor Julio, Soungoutou Magassa, and Mateus Fernandes.
Before facing Nottingham Forest at the City Ground, goals were hard to come by for the Hammers, with West Ham signing Callum Wilson on a free transfer as their only major striker addition.
It is the club’s business from the previous summer transfer window that has piqued Gabby Agbonlahor‘s attention, however.

Agbonlahor has slammed Fullkrug and his impact in the Premier League so far, with the Germany international notching just three goals and two assists during an injury-hit first campaign.
“I don’t think it’s about how much you spend, it’s what you spend it on.
What gives them the expertise to go and spend £30m,£40m, £50m at a time?”
While fans remain frustrated by the lack of options through the middle, Potter has always supported the move to bring Fullkrug to East London last summer.
Back in April, speaking to the media [Official website], Potter said: “You can see what he brings to the team.
He gives us a focal point.
He gives us a chance to get second balls.
“He gives us a chance to attack quicker, a bit more vertically,” and with Jarrod Bowen, Lucas Paqueta, Fernandes, and Crysencio Summerville around him, he should thrive through the middle.
Given his stature, it is clear what the striker’s strengths are, but after Agbonlahor’s quotes, fans cannot expect the big man to run the channels and add more speed to the front line.
