Liverpool have been one of the busiest clubs so far this summer and they show no sign of slowing down, with Arne Slot building a team to last.
The Reds winning the Premier League is one thing, but retaining it is another, although plans are already in place to try and achieve this.
Jeremie Frimpong has been Liverpool’s first signing and negotiations are in place to swiftly welcome a few more, with Florian Wirtz set to join soon and Bournemouth’s Milos Kerkez said to be keen on a move to Anfield.
Frimpong’s arrival also makes him the fourth current Netherlands player in the squad, with the Dutch influence certainly shining through as they look to defend their title next season under Arne Slot’s guidance.
However, Liverpool do not look like they will stop there and there could be a fifth Dutch arrival to the team very soon.

Posting on his Instagram story, Ryan Gravenberch was photographed alongside Liverpool target and Ajax defender Jorrel Hato, who Liverpool have been linked with for quite some time.
The duo, as well as new Liverpool signing Jeremie Frimpong, have been called up to the Netherlands national team squad ahead of their 2026 World Cup qualifiers, with their games against Finland and Malta later next week.
The versatile defender is capable of playing as a left-back or centre-back, making him an ideal option for the Reds.

This is further reinforced by Liverpool’s desires to sign a young defender and Hato will tick a lot of boxes that Slot will be looking out for, especially if Jarell Quansah departs and leaves a vacancy.
Chelsea are also interested in Hato and Liverpool will face stiff competition for his signature, although the potential to join a backline very Dutch-heavy might be preferred for the 19-year-old.
Former Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson knows exactly what it means to play for the Reds and after captaining him last season at Ajax, could not have spoken highly enough of the young defender.
As reported by the Liverpool Echo, Henderson previously said about Hato: “He’s a very mature person.
And yeah, he has a bright future ahead of him, I’m sure.
“I think he just needs to continue to do what he’s he’s been doing.
Obviously it’s been working for him, but, yes, I’ll try to help him.”
The busy summer on the red half of Merseyside shows no signs of slowing down, and Liverpool may just be about to add another Dutch addition to their squad as they look to build on a successful season.
