One Saudi Pro League club are holding internal talks about Darwin Nunez.

Núñez’s future has become one of the most talked-about topics of the summer transfer window.

From early in the window, multiple reports suggested that the Uruguay international had already decided to part ways with Liverpool.

The club, for their part, were also believed to be preparing for life without him, actively pursuing a new No.

9 to lead the line.

While several clubs have been linked with Núñez, Napoli emerged as the most serious contenders for his signature.

The Serie A champions had reportedly identified Núñez as their top target to fill the No.

9 role.

An agreement was even said to be in place with the player, who was enthusiastic about making the switch.

However, the move ultimately fell through, largely due to Liverpool’s valuation.

The Reds were demanding a fee in excess of €55 million — a price Napoli were unwilling to meet.

With Antonio Conte’s side now out of the race for Nunez, it looks like Nunez will remain in Liverpool.

However, football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano had earlier revealed that “for Darwin, there is still the opportunity to leave, still a priority to leave.”

One Saudi Pro League club has begun discussing Nunez internally, with journalist Ben Jacobs revealing that Al-Hilal are considering making a move for the Liverpool striker.

“Darwin Nunez remains an option for Al-Hilal,” the journalist wrote on X.
