Luis Diaz is subject to strong interest from a Saudi Arabian club, according to the latest report from talkSPORT.
The approaching transfer window could mark a turning point in Liverpool’s recent history, with some of the players who were part of the club’s recent success potentially heading for the exit door.
The Colombian star is one of those players facing an uncertain future at Liverpool.
The 28-year-old, whose current deal expires in 2027, was the club’s second top scorer this past 2024/25 campaign behind Mohamed Salah.
The club are set to open contract renewal discussions with Luis Diaz this summer, aiming to secure the Colombian winger’s long-term future amid sustained interest from Barcelona.
The 28-year-old’s current £55,000-per-week deal runs until 2027, meaning that he will soon be within a year of his deal expiring – all while his market value continues to drop with age.
His performances have also caught the eye of Barcelona’s sporting director Deco – who admitted his club “like” the forward.
However, Barca are not the only club with eyes on Diaz.
He is also attracting interest from Saudi Arabia clubs including Al Nassr and Al-Hilal.
According to the latest report from talkSPORT, Al Nassr has made signing Diaz one of their priorities this summer.
The Saudi Pro League’s interest in the Liverpool winger is due to the uncertainty surrounding Cristiano Ronaldo’s future.
“Saudi Arabian side Al Nassr have made Liverpool forward Luis Diaz their top summer transfer target,” talkSPORT wrote.
“Liverpool are aware of Al Nassr’s interest in the Colombian, who has been pushing for a new contract at Anfield.
Yet Nassr’s interest comes at an interesting time, with talisman Cristiano Ronaldo hinting at a potential departure.”
