And, even though the Scotsman may not have been at his best, it feels harsh for fans to want him out, especially when all that he’s done for Liverpool is taken into account.

Of course, upon the expiry of his contract next season, he’s likely to leave, but with the way things seem to be headed for Liverpool in the transfer market, having some sort of stability among the team could end up proving quite useful.
