Liverpool fans were given a glimpse into the past recently, as Jurgen Klopp returned to Anfield.

The legendary German had not set foot in Liverpool for a full year following his exit in 2024.

And although Klopp caused some controversy with his comments over the fans’ treatment of Trent Alexander-Arnold, it was generally great to see the former Liverpool manager.

Since his shock exit, Klopp has certainly been busy.

As well as taking on a new role with Red Bull, the 57-year-old has been involved in all manner of events.

So far, although he has returned for a charity match with Borussia Dortmund, none of his activities have had anything much to do with Liverpool.

However, after an intriguing social media post from former Reds defender Ragnar Klavan, that could be about to change.

Klavan became a cult hero at Liverpool across two years with the club.

Although he was never a first choice centre-back for Klopp, he never let the Reds down.

He clearly made an impression on his former boss as well, who has been pictured alongside Klavan on the Estonian’s Instagram page.

“Friends!

See you already this Friday the 6th in June at the international top soccer conference in Tallinn Cruise Terminal!” wrote the defender, alongside a photograph of him and Klopp.

“Exciting discussions are planned and Europe’s top performers will take the stage.”

For any Liverpool fans around Tallinn this weekend, there’s now only one place to be.

Now aged 39, Klavan only retired from football for good in December 2024.

The former Augsburg man is perhaps the most well-known footballing figure in Estonia and eventually ended his career with Tallinn based club JK Tallinna Kalev.

Klavan then made the move to become president of Kalev, and is now running to become president of the Estonian Football Federation.

With Klopp having more free time following his departure from football management, it’s possible that the German is lending his endorsement to his former player.

We’ll just have to tune in this Friday to find out.
