Liverpool have spent big this summer and will continue to do so, but sales should be expected to balance the books.
The Reds have been bold in this transfer window and they are clearly not afraid to be ruthless as many of their top stars are linked with a move away.
None more so than Luis Diaz as the Colombian is a target for many top European sides, as well as teams in Saudi Arabia, with the winger also open to a move.
Bayern Munich appear his most likely destination as the German giants seem the most keen to bring him in, with Vincent Kompany’s side already having a bid turned down for him.
However, even though they will try again, Bayern’s patience appears to be wearing thin and they have lined up one of Liverpool’s targets as an alternative if the Reds will not budge on their asking price.

Wingers are some of the hottest property this summer with many of the biggest teams needing one before the season starts, with left-wingers in particular being in demand.
After losing Leroy Sane to Galatasaray and Jamal Musiala through injury, Bayern are desperate to bring in a new left-sided attacker, with Diaz their top target as of late.
But according to Fabrizio Romano, the Bundesliga champions have added Lyon’s Malick Fofana to their shortlist if the Reds refuse to sell the 28-year-old.

Bayern have reportedly already made contact with Fofana, who Liverpool have also targeted this transfer window, to ask about the conditions of the deal.
The German outfit had a bid rejected for Diaz of around £58.5m, with the Reds holding out for around £70m, a fee that seems too steep for Bayern.
Nonetheless, they will try again and Liverpool could always slightly reduce their asking price if Diaz is very desperate to go, although Arne Slot could miss out on a potential target if they choose to remain firm with their stance.
There is no denying that Diaz is a fantastic footballer and has just come off the back of one of his best seasons to date, but if he is open to leaving, then surely the club should just sell him.
Granted, at 28, he is entering his prime, but with the amount of money being offered for his services, the Reds would be silly to turn it down.
They have also lined up some potential replacements already, with the likes of Real Madrid’s Rodrygo a top target, with the Brazilian also a player who could take Liverpool on to the next level.
He is four years Diaz’s junior too, making him a smart option for the Reds’ long-term project, while also having the quality to take the Premier League by storm.
Time will have to tell as a lot is riding on Bayern’s next bid for the Colombian, but an Anfield exit could very much be on the cards.
