As the summer transfer window approaches, the futures of several former Liverpool players remain up in the air, with some already preparing to move on and others awaiting clarity on their next steps.

West Ham United have confirmed that striker Danny Ings will depart when his contract expires this summer.

The 32-year-old, who joined the Hammers from Aston Villa in January 2023, scored five goals in 69 appearances and was part of the squad that won the UEFA Europa Conference League in 2023.

Ings leaves alongside several other senior players as West Ham begin a squad overhaul.

Meanwhile, Divock Origi was excluded from Milan’s first-team plans for the 2024-25 season.

He has not featured for either the senior squad or the Milan Futuro (Under-23) side, and has reportedly been training alone away from the club’s facilities.

Despite two transfer windows passing, Origi has declined several loan and transfer offers, preferring to see out his lucrative contract, which runs until 2026 and pays him around €4 million per season

But there is some clarity for former Liverpool striker Rhian Brewster.

Sheffield United have confirmed they remain in discussions with Brewster over a new contract, with his current deal expiring on June 30.

The 25-year-old, who joined the Blades for £23.5 million in 2020 after rising through Liverpool’s academy, has endured a challenging spell in South Yorkshire, scoring just nine goals in 114 appearances amid persistent injury struggles.

His relative price tag compared to the stature of Sheffield has drawn criticism from the Blades fanbase at times, but manager Chris Wilder has stuck with him.

The 2019 Champions League winner managed 4 goals and 3 assists in 36 Championship appearances this past season.
