Sheffield Wednesday are set to lose out on Harry Amass as a new challenger has swooped in to snatch the Man United player away from them.
Man United have had a solid transfer window as they look to bounce back following a horror show season last year.
Ruben Amorim has quickly bolstered weak areas of his squad with the signing of Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig and Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford.
Departures are also set to happen with promising young left-back Amass facing the prospect of heading out on-loan this season after the prevalence of Patrick Dorgu during pre-season.

Sheffield Wednesday, despite their financial shortcomings, were expected to bag the talented teenager due to the “developmental loan” agreement avoiding any fee, yet the transfer saga has taken a turn.
According to a report by the Daily Mail (12 August), Dutch outfit PSV Eindhoven have “made their pitch” to Amass to tempt him to The Netherlands.
Peter Bosz’s side have made a “push to beat the competition in the Championship”, frustrating the long-suffering Owls who thought they were quids in.

After pushing into the first team towards the back end of last season, the Englishman will be keen to use his loan to improve his current skillset as he looks to eventually push into the senior squad on a consistent basis in the future.

The prospect of joining PSV may be a bit left-field but the United academy graduate should consider the benefits it has had on other youth prodigies who ventured to the club.
Take Everton‘s Jarrad Branthwaite, who spent the 2022-23 season in Eindhoven, a year which greatly contributed to his development.
The now 23-year-old featured 37 times across both the youth team and the senior team, in a defining period of growth which Toffees fans noted.

He came back from The Netherlands more confident on the ball and with increased defensive awareness which has seen hims nail down a starting role in Merseyside.
Amass should take heed in his compatriot’s development which could be a key turning point in the teenager’s career journey.
