'Show a bit of class...' - Liverpool leave Roy Keane irritated as star man's actions are singled out

Roy Keane has never been the biggest advocate of Liverpool due to his relationship with Manchester United.

The Irishman is often fairly cynical of the way things operate at Anfield, even when they’re the better side than his beloved Red Devils.

Of course, the Reds are disliked by most football fans for one reason or another, but with the dominance Liverpool have shown in the Premier League this term, it’s not affected them all that much.

And, seeing as though the Premier League title was confirmed to be theirs, Arne Slot’s men have let their hair down over the last few weeks, with the entire team even being pictured on holiday at one point.

Even though most see why the Reds are out celebrating their title win, Keane has been left somewhat baffled by the club’s actions.

They’ve dominated their opposition, and while the points tally of last year’s top two is now out of reach, the main thing that matters is that the title has come back to Anfield.

However, Keane doesn’t see things that way and believes Slot should be telling his men to “liven up.”

“Liverpool have switched off, they’re irritating me at the moment,” he said on the Stick to Football Podcast.

“They’re all in Ibiza, what sort of message is that?

“I’m thinking, just show a bit of class, Salah is taking pictures while the game is still on, come on, liven up a little bit.”

With Liverpool securing the 2024-25 Premier League title on 27 April, it feels like a lifetime ago when celebrations were first held.

The Anfield outfit confirmed themselves as Premier League winners in emphatic fashion as they triumphed 5-1 over Tottenham.

Since then, however, their form hasn’t been all that great with the Reds playing three games, drawing one and losing two.
