Liverpool will be keeping a close eye on the Under 21 European Championships for both incomings and outgoings.
The Reds have had a busy summer so far but still want to sign and sell some stars, with the latter being the most important to try and balance the books.
Harvey Elliott is linked with a move away from Liverpool and he is just one player they could get a decent amount of money for, with the club looking for around £40m if they are to sell.
Currently, the Englishman is proving his worth at the Under 21 European Championship, a tournament which he has taken by storm and played a vital role in getting his country to the final.
The 22-year-old has four goals in five games so far, with two of these coming in the semi-final during England’s 2-1 win over the Netherlands.
His performance deserves a tremendous amount of recognition after the sheer frustration he must have built up from last season, although Elliott was quick to praise two of his Liverpool teammates for their contribution to his development.

Sometimes, if a player has almost single-handedly carried their team through a game, they can get a bit big-headed and enjoy all the attention being on them.
Elliott is not that type of person, however.
The reason he is adored so much at Anfield is due to his tireless work rate and desire to leave everything on the pitch, something he definitely did for England during their semi-final clash.

He also understands that it is a team game, and after picking up his Man of the Match award, he was quick to credit Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah for helping improve his leadership qualities.
“At so many moments throughout the season the likes of Mohamed Salah have had to score important goals, winning goals,’ Elliott told the Daily Mail.
“Towards the end of the season [Virgil] Van Dijk came up and scored a header in the 90th minute.
I think things like that, to not give up, to keep going to the final whistle and take these opportunities, I think that’s leadership.

“You can speak as much as you want on the pitch, you can say whatever, but at the end of the day when the moment comes and you need to show up, and you need to, for example, in my situation, score a goal.”
England will meet Germany in the final, a team they lost to in the group stages earlier on in the competition, meaning this will be Elliott’s final game to either impress his boss Arne Slot, or other managers waiting in the wings for his signature.
It is fair to say that Elliott ran the game for England in the semi-final and he stepped up when many of his teammates looked a little lacklustre.

Almost everything went through him, he contributed with some key passes and, above all, he was everywhere on the pitch.
Of course, playing at Under 21 level is a big difference from playing for the first-team, or even Premier League football for that matter, but Elliott’s performances have shown that he is ready for the next step.
Whether he sticks around to prove himself at Anfield or if he moves onto pastures new – which seems the most likely at this point – the Englishman has clearly adopted traits from some of Liverpool’s elite that will stand him in good stead whatever he decides.
