There have been many twists and turns in recent weeks.
From Xabi Alonso to Unai Emery, many names have been touted for the Liverpool job, as it now certainly won’t the men from Bayer Leverkusen and Aston Villa.
When Michael Edwards was in his first tenure at the club, he was lauded and applauded for the job he did.
FSG had to do a lot to convince him to come back and now he has the biggest decision to make.
This will make and break him, even though he did a very good job the first time around, but what road does he go down when bringing in Jurgen Klopp’s replacement?
As mentioned before, it seems as though Liverpool are going to go down the road of ‘brave’ rather than ‘popular’.
That’s probably why Feyenoord manager Arne Slot is being much-talked about in recent days.
But Simon Jordan feels those on Merseyside would be ’stupid’ not to talk to someone like Jose Mourinho, as he told talkSPORT.
Graeme Souness has already shared his opinion on this matter and he made it clear that he would back it because he views Mourinho higher than Klopp.
Former Crystal Palace owner Jordan did question if the recently-sacked Roma boss can get another ‘legacy club’, which Liverpool would be.
Either way, he stated that Mourinho is a ‘perennial winner’ and he would love him to be England’s next manager.
“I don’t know whether he will get another legacy club,” said Jordan.
(asks Souness about Mourinho).
Jose divides people, doesn’t he?
I would have him (Mourinho) as England manager.
I don’t know where Jose Mourinho sits mentally now.”

Does he divide opinion?
That’s what is needed for Liverpool and it’s something Mourinho wouldn’t be able to provide.
